Mall of Emirates

The Mall of Emirates is located in Al Barsha district which is the heart of New Dubai. In the Middle East it is the second largest shopping mall. It is not only a shopping place but also a source of entertainment and leisure. It was opened in September 2005.

Features of Mall of Emirates

472 international brands is one of the most important features of this mall. These brands are related to fashion, lifestyle, sports and many more. The Mall of Emirates also provides entertainment and relaxation facilities like a multiplex cinema, Magic Planet for families and the most famous of all Ski Dubai. There is also a five-star hotel and community theatre. As far as food entertainment is concerned, the mall provides more than 70 coffee shops and restaurants.

I heard all above features from my friend and at that moment I decided to visit Mall of Emirates.

My Visit to Mall of Emirates

I visited the Mall of Emirates recently. It’s just like a landmark of Dubai. When I visited it, it was undergoing an expansion. This expansion program would be completed by the end of 2010. I found that this expansion is being done to increase the facilities of shopping, dining and parking.

Shopping at Mall of Emirates

There were a large number of shops in front of me and I got confused for a moment that from where I should start visiting. There were shops of almost every kind like jewelry, clothing, optical center, silverware, tailoring, sweets, restaurant, ties, dry cleaning, cafes, sportswear, shoes, banks, home interiors, chocolate shops, watches and electronics. There I also saw shops of some international brands like Nike, Next and Versace. I did a lot of shopping after visiting almost every shop. I am a chocolate lover, so I entered in the chocolate shop and bought a hundreds of them.

Entertainment in Mall of Emirates

Mall of Emirates is not just a mall but a meeting place where friends and families can spend very enjoyable time. I also visited that portion and found that there were some entertainment places naming Ski Dubai, Magic Planet, CineStar Cinema and DUCTAC.

Ski Dubai

Firstly, I went toward Ski-Dubai about which I had heard the most. It was an indoor ski resort offering enjoyable activities like skiing and snowboarding. I noticed that it was made to entertain the people of all ages either young, old or kids. The casual visitors can enjoy Snow Park with the environment of alpine and the sports lovers can do skiing or snowboarding. I also did some skiing and slipped a number of times but enjoyed a lot. It was an incredible experience to enjoy the snow in a desert that is Dubai.

Magic Planet

It was a family entertainment place. It was also an indoor entertainment center. It contained the games which I never saw indoors. It was spread into two levels. It was offering fun rides, racing simulator and other games and attractions. But the thing I really enjoyed was the 4D theatre. Here I took my seat in a RoboCoaster and had a thrilling ride. Other attractions of the Magic Planet included child care services, restaurants and soft play facilities.

CineStar Cinemas

Then I went to visit the most famous CineStar Cinema which was offering latest technology and luxury to enjoy entirely different cinema experience. There were also different seats like high-backed seats for two persons such as couple and Gold Class theaters which were more comfortable and luxurious. They had foot-rests which were adjustable. Private tables were also provided for every couple. I watched a wonderful movie there sitting in the Gold Class theatre.

DUCTAC

DUCTAC stands for Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre. It was made for the people who love arts and cultures. Here it was providing a countless number of subjects in an artistic environment. I visited this wonderful place and found that it had two-level theatre having 550 seats and studio theatre having 150 seats. There were also galleries, rehearsal places and studios where you can enjoy the activities like painting, photography and sculpture. It was quite a big place where I enjoyed various activities.

Services Provided at Mall of Emirates

This mall provides many services so that their customers don’t face any kind of difficulties. These services included tourist information, customer services and parking information. I faced parking problem so I consulted customer-services desk which were at ground floor as well as first floor. They solved my problem immediately with a lot of courtesy.

Dining Facilities

Mall of Emirates provides more than 80 restaurants and cafes to make your visit more memorable and pleasant. Some of the names were like Chop Chop, Color’s Express Café, Columbus Café, Costa Coffee, Deli Express, Karam Express, La Piazza and many more. I had lunch in one of the restaurants and enjoyed the tasty food and peaceful and calm ambience.

Hotels in Mall of Emirates

A five-star hotel is also located in the Mall having attached from the West. The name of this deluxe hotel was Kempinski. Another hotel was located on the East side naming Pullman Hotel Mall of Emirates. This hotel was under the process of construction. Both of these hotels were five-star luxury hotel. I stayed in the Kempinski Hotel and was provided with state-of-the-art services. This hotel was adjacent to Ski Dubai so I didn’t have to travel much to go to Ski Dubai. The Pullman Hotel is a part of the expansion program of the Mall. It would be a luxury hotel having 481 rooms among which 94 would be suites.

Mall of Emirates is a worth-seeing place. In my opinion, everybody who comes to Dubai must visit this beautiful Mall having all the things and facilities beyond your imagination.
